The review board is closed temporarily (probably until January, unless Views From The 6 actually drops, and then who knows) and I’m currently catching up on my list of 2015 releases, as well as formulating my favourite songs and albums of the year.
In the meantime, feel free to buy my book! You can find it here, and again at the bottom of this post. If you’re into horror, post-apocalypse, the city of Toronto, or if you’ve ever thought that The Leftovers had an interesting concept but you wanted something a bit more visceral, you should feel free to buy a copy and tell your friends.
Check it out, my first real interview. While you check it out, if you haven’t already, you should go sign up for the giveaway. Only two days left! Chance to win free stuff! Sounds like a plan, amirite?
Not to spam the point, but time is running out in the giveaway for a copy of Disappearance on Dirty Little Bookers. It’s not going to cost you anything to sign up for the giveaway, so you may as well, amirite? Your name goes into a draw and if you win, you get me to mail you a free, signed copy. Maybe with a bonus thrown in. Who’s to say? So get crackin’!

I really rather like this passage – this whole section, actually. The slow chase under the city as the protagonists are followed through the darkness was a joy to write. It came about during a stretch of a week or so where I would write outside well past sunset, with only the light from my laptop screen to illuminate the at-times-creepy ravine my backyard falls into.
A rather excellent artist I know gave me some advice the last time I saw him, and it was to the effect that art announcements should only be done a week or so in advance, so people don’t have time to forget them. To that end, I’m proud to announce that the November spot on literature blog Dirty Little Booker’s “Calling All Indies” feature was won by yours truly, and I’ll be featured over there starting some time in the next week (as they work a month behind or so). So, like voting in Chicago elections, visit early and visit often: www.dirtylittlebookers.com
Just as a reminder, I have a book for sale, you can access a link to it in the Books page to your left. People like it. You probably will too, unless you get squeamish about the darker aspects of human existence.
A sample chapter is available here: http://goo.gl/qJWSLH

I’m glad that so many people like the guide to GBV, there will be more discographies in the future. I like writing them and people seem to enjoy reading them. I already have two ready to go, so look for those in the coming days.
Also, since you’re here, consider buying a book. People also tend to like it, I find.
